BalancedINFO:Clement as a young player was a centre back but he broke through as a right-back, sometimes used on the left side. He played 476 matches and scored 28 goals for Queens Park Rangers from 1965 to 1979, forming a fantastic couple of side-backs alongside Ian Gillard. He also capped 5 times for England between 1976 and 1977. After leaving QPR, he played for Bolton Wanderers, Fulham and Wimbledon before being forced to retire in 1982 due to a bad injury. This led him to suffer from depression and suicide himself the same year.
Regarded as one of the best QPR players ever, Clement was a reliable all-round defender, who always gave his best. As defender he had nice interception ability, was a tough tackler but also he delivered good long balls forward. Gifted with good speed, technique and shot, he wasn't effective only in the back but he liked to run to the attack to score or send crosses to the box.
