Jozef Móder (born 19 September 1947) is a former Slovak football midfielder and later coach. Moder was central offensive midfielder, known as good set piece taker. Bulky, inconspicuous, strong player with tremendous shot. He scored from long distance, from free kicks, directly from corners but didn't like to take penalties. He was game organizer and conductor as well as captain at his club. Moder began his professional career at Inter Bratislava, from there he moved to Lokomotíva Košice. During his subsequent time at Dukla Praha, the midfielder was first convened in 1972 the Team of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic. From 1973 - 1980 he was back for Lokomotíva Košice in use. From 1975 he was a regular player of the Czechoslovak national team. Overall, he played 17 international matches and scored 3 goals. The highlight of his career was the team winning the European Football Championship 1976. Abroad he worked from 1980 to 1982 in the Grazer AK. In Dress the Athletiker he completed 60 league games, scoring nine goals. He was also part of that GAK team that could win the 1981 OFB Cup. This success represents a special feature, because it was the first title for a team in the Styrian Austrian professional football. The representation of Czechoslovakia Moder debuted April 26, 1972, in victory 6:0 match with Luxembourg. In 1975, he was the primary player personnel, and a year later he was in the squad for the European Championships in Yugoslavia. There appeared in all matches, in two quarter-finals of the USSR has won a total of three goals. Occurred both in the 3-1 semi-final against the Netherlands and the final with West Germany, which Czechoslovaks won on penalties.
