Attack MindedINFO:Campanini was a left winger or centre forward. He's Ascoli top ever scorer with 74 goals in 184 matches from 1969 to 1975. He scored many goals at Cosenza too: 60 in 138 games from 1963 to 1968. He played also for several other clubs and was a great scorer in almost all them, for example Mestre, Prato, Reggiana and Brindisi. He played mostly in Serie B and Serie C but had the chance to play a bunch of Serie A games with three different teams: 5 at Spal in 1959-60 with 2 goals; 3 at Padova in 1960-61; 13 at Ascoli in 1974-75 with 3 goals. He's been for years the top scorer of the first three Italian divisions before being surpassed by legends like Roberto Baggio, Alessandro Del Piero, Francesco Totti, Luca Toni and Antonio Di Natale.
Campanini gained several nicknames due to his incredible sense of goal − recognised to only few strikers of the time − but also for his dark hair and mean face that made him look like an outlaw. Campanini was gifted with a powerful shot and was effective when he made incursions through the defence. He had good speed and dribbling that he showed especially when playing on the flank. As centre forward, he was the typical opporunistic striker.
