Ernesto Galli was a goalkeeper. He played most of his career at Brescia from 1967 to 1974 with 187 matches in all competitions and Vicenza from 1975 to 1981 − excluding the 1979-80 season at Udinese − with 158 games. He played also for Spal and Cesena.
Galli was a goalkeeper of incredible constistency: he suffered 134 leagues goals at Vicenza − one per match − and 140 at Brescia − less than one per match. His physique wasn't imposing and this helped him moving nimblier. In fact his main characteristics were great reaction and leap thanks to which he could reach the most insidious shots.
