Nobili was a playmaker and he's considered one of the best players in the history of Pescara. He grew up at Roma but played only once in the first. Then he played for Ascoli, Maceratese, Avellino and Cagliari before joining Pescara, where he played 280 matches and scored 44 goals from 1974 to 1982. He retired in 1985 after three seasons at Francavilla.
Nobili was a left-footed midfielder who had a strong offensive prowess. He had good technique and dribbling. Gifted with good vision of play and passing ability, he was the one who created most goal opportunities. A free kick and penalty specialist, he was also a good scorer. He was dangerous and effective from the distance as well thanks to a very powerful long range shot.
