INFO:Pasetti was a side-back or wing-half, mainly on the right, and occasionally inside-right. His career started in 1963 at Spal where he made 116 appearances and scored 1 goal until he left for Juventus in 1968. He spent only one season with the
Bianconeri and managed to find space only due to injuries suffered by the starters. He then transferred to Palermo, playing 117 matches and scoring 1 goal from 1969 to 1974. He retired in 1980 after spending two years with Piacenza and four with Adriese.
A short but combative player, Pasetti was predominantly an offensive side-back due to his constant runs forwards. Although he had a crooked running style, he ran persistently until he tired out his opponent who then didn't have enough lucidity to finish the attacking play. His fragile physique though forced him to avoid tackles. He had to rely on his running ability because while he was effective in the attack, he wasn't solid in the defence. He was at time criticised for making thoughtless choices, but he was also praised for being a model of commitment and consistency. He possessed notable technique, a good but sometimes persistent dribbling, solid football knowledge, and an enthusiastic way of playing the match. He always moved with his head held high, following the action, never sweeping the ball randomly. He scored his only Spal goal in the 1966-67 Serie A against Torino with a weak and apparently harmless shot that though deceived goalkeeper Lido Vieri. The Italian national team got their eyes on Pasetti but he was never called-up and only capped 5 times for Italy B in 1968.
