Attack MindedINFO:Ferruccio Mazzola was an inside, either midfielder or forward. Grown up at Inter, he played for several clubs other than the
Nerazzurri, including Venezia, Lecco and Fiorentina. However, he had his best time at Lazio from 1968 to 1971, playing 92 matches, scoring 13 goals and helping the team reaching the Serie A promotion in his first season. He came back to Lazio in 1972 and stayed there for two more seasons.
Mazzola was gifted with the necessary good qualities to play at better levels. Unfortunately, he was often compared to his father Valentino and his brother Sandro, who naturally were far more successful than him. He was a fine scorer, was accurate with both feet, possessed good technique and speed, his shots had good power. His technical abilities were extraordinary and considered even better than his brother's but Sandro was faster. His not ideal attitude though created several issues and that ultimately stopped him from being among the protagonists of Lazio's side that won the 1973-74
Scudetto, even though he was part of it.
