Wichit was a defender, capable of playing also in midfield and attack. He spent the majority of his career at Bangkok Bank Club, winning three Kor Royal Cups in 1963, 1964, 1966 and a Queen's Cup in 1970. He gained over 100 caps for Thailand, scoring 5 goals, taking part to three Asian Games, three Southeast Asian Games and seven Merdeka Cups. He retired in 1971.
A reliable player, Wichit wasn't only a good defender. He possessed as main quality the high versatility to play in numerous other positions with the same effectiveness. In fact, he was deployed on the sides of the defence, in the forward line as winger, in the midfield as wing half or half back. This charachteristic allowed him to be always a regular in the national team because he gave different line-up options.
