INFO:
Tesconi was a right-half and occasionally inside-right. His career started in 1947 at Carrarese. He transferred to Venezia seven years later, playing there from 1954 to 1957 and 1958 to 1964, making a total 267 appearances and scoring 10 goals. He played for Hellas Verona in the 1957-58 season.
Venezia's captain for three years in the early 1960s, Tesconi was a solid midfielder who contributed to both attack and defence. He was good at starting the attack with a pass towards a striker or pushing forward to unleash powerful shots from 30-40 metres that more than once hit the net. Sometimes, he would even receive the ball inside the opposition's box to score easy goals. While he seemed less efficient when stuck in front of the back-line, he did his job well by covering the right side in support of centre-half Sergio Carantini. On the other hand, he at times made avoidable mistakes like passing the ball incorrectly back to his goalkeeper or losing possession of the ball in or close to his own area. A good set piece taker, he provided several assists by delivering an accurate cross from free kick.
