Faleo is a former left-half, capable as inside-left. His career started in 1957 at Andria. He transferred to Chieti in 1959 and Benevento in 1960. He had his best time at Foggia, where he made 165 appearances and scored 4 goals from 1961 to 1968. He retired in 1969 after spending a year at Audace Cerignola.
One of the key players in Foggia's first ever Serie A promotion, Faleo was praised by his supporters for being tireless and precious in linking up defence and midfield. He kept the midfield solid with his technical wisdom and great tenacity. Good in the interception, he was also an able passer. His ability to build up the attack from the back with short passes or long crosses allowed him to play efficiently also closer to the forward line when he had to replace the unavailable inside-left.
