INFO:Micheli was a half-back and inside forward. His career started in 1955 in lower leagues at Mantova where he played 104 matches and scored 38 goals in four seasons. He signed for Spal in 1959. After a good year with 36 games and 2 goals, he transferred to Fiorentina where he didn't have the same amount of opportunities. He returned to Spal for three more years, making 86 appearances and scoring 12 goals from 1961 to 1964. He then played for Foggia from 1964 to 1967, playing 102 matches and scoring 12 goals. He eventually returned to Mantova and retired in 1973 after making 165 appearances and scoring 5 goals. He was close to sign for Milan in the Summer of 1966 when he played some friendly matches.
A winger or centre forward in his youth, Micheli was turned into a wing-half or inside forward and at the end of his career he was often deployed in a more defensive role. During his time at Spal, his main position was inside-left, and he was occasionally deployed as left or right-half. As a Foggia player, he still played several times as inside forward either on the right or the left, but his main position was now left-half. His versatility was due to his efficiency in all the roles he covered as he was a solid midfielder and good man marker who was also capable of pushing forward due to his past as striker. He was good at breaking the opposition's attacks and even when his starting position was inside forward he often had covering duties that required him to play closer to the half-back line. His defensive task was also about marking tightly the likes of Omar SĂvori, Mario Corso, Francisco Lojacono and Gianni Rivera. He wasn't among the most gifted from a technical and playmaking standpoint, but when he unmarked himself or was left with enough to space to move he would carry the ball forward even starting from the back, sometimes being involved in a triangle of passes, or providing a potential assist with a short or long pass. Several times, he proved to be a threat with his long range shooting ability. In a match against Juventus, he was smart as he noticed goalkeeper Anzolin off his goal and unleashed a powerful shot from a long distance after slowly falling back to midfield. Sometimes in charge of set pieces, he scored five penalties for Foggia and occasionally took free kicks.
