INFO:Mazzone is a former centre-half and sweeper. His career started in 1956 at Latina. He then had short experiences at Roma and Siena. He had his best and longest stint at Ascoli, where he made 219 appearances and scored 11 goals from 1960 to 1969. Gifted with a tall and strong physique, Mazzone was described since his young age as a player who always challenged his opponents furiously during their counterattacks, never being satisfied with recovering the ball with timely headers, but taking care of building up the offense for his team by passing the ball to the wing-halves and wingers or carrying the ball until the edge of opposition's penalty area.
