INFO:
Chaïbi was an attacking midfielder and winger. He spent his entire career at Club Africain, making 261 appearances and scoring 53 goals from 1963 to 1975, winning numerous championships and cups. He capped for Tunisia 34 times, scoring 8 goals. He started suffering from health problems in 1971 and was ultimately forced to retire in 1975.
Considered one of the most brilliant players in Tunisia's history, Chaïbi was very clever and dynamic. Distinguished by his flashy sprints and dazing, short, extremely fast dribbling, he played very well close to the touchline. He could put opposition's defences away with ease with his incisive movements. He could do anything with the ball, proving himself a nightmare for the defenders thanks to his impressive speed, technique, penetrating force and remarkable scoring ability. He would keep the defense busy and weaken it to make the job easier for the forwards. Although fragile, Chaïbi had body shape and intimidating physical power that allowed him to impose himself in the pitch.
