INFO:
Annibale was a goalkeeper. His career started at Inter in 1959. Two year later, he signed for Cesena where he spent the majority of his career, playing here from 1961 to 1963, 1964 to 1967 and 1970 to 1972 for a total 207 appearances. Pisa's goalkeeper from 1967 to 1970, he had a major role in the club's promotion to Serie A in 1968. He also played for Lecco in 1963-64 and Rimini in 1972-73 when he retired.
Remembered by Pisa's fans for being the starting goalkeeper in the club's first ever Serie A season, Annibale had a good season in the Italian top flight despite having to face fearsome strikers like Anastasi, Boninsegna, Prati, Riva and Savoldi among others. He even stopped a penalty from Riva. A short and spectacular goalkeeper, Annibale possessed remarkable skills, great agility and jump. But his height was an issue. He wasn't always efficient when coming off his goal, he wasn't hard to beat with headers, and he was often unable to stop shots well directed to the low corner despite his agile dives.
