From the 1960/61 season he was a member of the squad contract players of FC Bayern Munich, for which he, on 14 August 1960 in a 3-1 home victory over TSG Ulm 1846 for the first time, ran aground. After three years in the league and two other South Regional, he rose to the 1965/66 season with his club in the Bundesliga. There was the defensive player (122 games and 2 goals) made his debut on 14 August 1965 (Round 1) in the local derby with TSV 1860 Munich, which is already in the first Lost minutes with the only goal left. Olk, which they named "Eagle of Giesing" was the first Bundesliga team Bayern captain. The position he held until 3 May 1970, when he struck the reef for the last time for FC Bayern Munich (2-2 in the away game) against FC Schalke 04. Olk helped the national team jersey for the first time in Budapest on 28 March 1956 in the group match of the UEFA youth tournament. At 31 March, he was the last time - even with scoring - in the 1-2 defeat against England for the use. His only international match for the senior team in a 2-0 away victory over Poland on 8 October 1961 lasted only a half-time, until came off the bench for him to Kress second half. After his playing career he was active as a coach at Eintracht Braunschweig, SV Darmstadt 98, SC Freiburg, Eintracht Trier, the Karlsruher SC and FC Augsburg in Germany.
