INFOHannes Löhr is all time top scorer for Köln. He was striker on the left side although he played all positions in attack and midfield in late 60's, meanwhile towards the end of career he didn't play anymore in midfield. Lohr was fast player with good shot and heading abilities. He was also solid corner and penalty taker, didn't have perfect ball control but was intelligent and in good condition. A similar player to Jupp Heynckes, nominally an outside left, but not one that would send in crosses close to the touchline but a forward who always had an eye on the goal. Nicknamed ‘The Nose’, Löhr had good pace and was a versatile finisher with good heading. Very consistent in his club Köln he was not a player that left a big mark in the national team. Altogether he featured in 724 games scoring 421 goals for Köln. After the introduction of the Bundesliga in 1964 with 31 Löhr scorer of the Southwest Regional, whereupon the first FC Cologne committed the then 21-year-old talent. For FC Loehr graduated from 1964 to 1978 381 games in the Bundesliga. His 166 goals are still the Bundesliga club record of Cologne. In the eternal scorer in the Bundesliga Loehr is on the ninth. In the years 1968, 1977 and 1978 he was with Köln DFB-Cup winner in 1978 also have the German championship. In 1968 Lohr was the leading scorer in the Bundesliga. 1967-1970, he played 20 international matches, in which he scored five goals. Loehr also belonged to the cadre of national football team, who in 1970 was at the football World Cup in Mexico third. After his active career as a player, he became a coach at first FC Cologne before he became a trainer for DFB, where he served for many years the U21 and Olympic team. He died in 2016.
