Luggi Muller is former German defender. He could play on various positions in defence, midfield and sometimes was even used as striker. He was very strong player with offensive attitude due to his good technique and passing play in creating the attacks. Luggi was good marker and reliable penalty taker but sometimes lacked agressivness and used to act too passive in the game. In the first Unterfranken FC Haßfurt, Ludwig Mueller learned in the youth department, the football game. At 20, he witnessed the rise of his home club in the second Southern League. In the 1961/62 and 1962/63 two rounds, he gained valuable match practice in the substructure of the Oberliga Süd. The new classification from the 1963-64 season he played in the starting year of the Bundesliga with Haßfurt in the first Amateur League Bavaria. The regional leagues were then directly under the Bundesliga. In the summer of 1964 brought him the "Club" headquarters in Nuremberg. The ambitious defender Ludwig Muller began his career in the Bundesliga at the first FC Nuremberg, under new coach Gunther Baumann. The latter took over as coach of Jenő Csaknády from 1 November 1963 had replaced Herbert Widmayer. The other newcomers Anton Allemann, Rolf Wüthrich and Manfred Cross should revive the offense. The "Club" came in the sixth round of the 1964/65 League position and "Luggi" had been deployed 28 times. Can be stabilized by the defensive stopper Ferdinand Wenauer. From the 3rd January 1967 Max Merkel took over as coach in the Noris. With the balance of return around 20:14 he points led Nuremberg 1966/67 on the 10th Rank in the final table. Ludwig Mueller had 27 stakes. In the 1967/68 round of Max Merkel succeeded with the first FC Nuremberg, the Germans win the football championship. The iron-hard defender of Haßfurt had large share of the championship. Most of the coaches to put him on the opponent's top scorer, to whom "Luggi" then took care of mostly successful. With 37 goals against the defense of the new master had allowed the fewest hits. Guarantee for success but was the first-class defense with Ludwig Mueller, who had completed 33 games. As defending champion delivered the team of "big shot" Merkel in the 1968/69 season from the next sensation. The first FC Nuremberg dismounted. The descent was sealed after the 0-3 defeat on 7 June 1969 at the 1st FC Cologne. Ludwig Mueller had played 136 games from 1964 to 1969 with 10 goals for Nuremberg. After two third place finishes in 1967/68 and 1968/69 rounds was for coach Hennes Weisweiler at Borussia Moenchengladbach announced the strengthening of the defense staff. He enlisted for the central defensive alliance of the Libero, Klaus-Dieter Sieloff from VfB Stuttgart and the pilot Topper Ludwig Müller of the first FC Nuremberg. The two championship gains in the years 1970 and 1971 confirmed these impressive measures. In the two seasons Ludwig Müller came to 67 Bundesliga appearances. Moenchengladbach played football successful attack based on the quality of the defense. In the European Cup champions in the 1970/71 series, the return match against Everton stuck on 4 November 1970 at Goodison Park before 45,000 spectators out. The game was 1-1 draw after extra time and had to be decided on penalties. "Luggi" Miller Gladbach awarded for the fifth spot-kick and Everton came in the next round. 1971/72 European Cup in the round, the team met the Bökelberg in the second round on 20 October 1971 in Moenchengladbach on Inter Milan. With the team from 7:1 gates Hennes Weisweiler outclassed in a playful Italian fireworks master. Since Inter striker Roberto Boninsegna in the 29th Minute by a litter box was hit in the head and had to be carried into the cabin, the UEFA canceled the game. It was the first Scheduled in December 1971 in New Berlin. After a serious foul Boninsegnas retired "Luggi" Miller in the 89th Minute as a tibia and fibula fracture to. There followed a nearly nine-month break. After 14 games and 3 goals for him, the round was completed 1971/72. Since the complete restoration of the power delay and in Gladbach defensive squad competitors (Bonhof, lead, Dick Rosenthal, Sieloff, Surau, Vogts and Wittkamp) at very high levels were, he moved in early October 1972 at the Spree to Hertha BSC. Ludwig Mueller had played from 1969 to 1972 for Borussia Moenchengladbach 82 Bundesliga games and scored 6 goals. On 7 October 1972 Luggi made the debut in the dress of Hertha in 1-1 draw at Werder Bremen. Together with Erich Beer, Lorenz Horr he formed the axis of the Hertha's game. He graduated from his debut 97 Bundesliga games in a row for the Berlin and scored 10 goals. In his final game on 14 June 1975 it was transformed in the 45th Minute penalty for a 3-0 lead against VfL Bochum in the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. Farewell to Berlin and the end of his career, he still celebrated, the runner-up with Hertha BSC. From 1964 to 1975 he had denied a total of 314 games in the Bundesliga, scoring 26 goals. The first appointment to a DFB-Team Ludwig Müller was awarded the Junior National Team to play against England on 25 May 1965 in Freiburg. By winning the German championship in 1968, he played in the national team under head coach Helmut Schoen. For the two most prestigious games against England and Brazil first and 16 June 1968 he formed together with Klaus Fichtel and Wolfgang Weber, the series runner. The two 1-0 - and 2-1 successes speak for the talent of this trio. In the relegation round of the "club" 1968/69 he came to three other appearances in the national team. Why is it in the two years 1970 and 1971 championship in Moenchengladbach on just added to the yellow card for 24th September 1969 in Sofia was enough to Bulgaria can not be answered conclusively. The prominent veterans Willi Schulz and Karl-Heinz Schnellinger should still play at the 1970 World Cup in Mexico, Wolfgang Weber, and Klaus Fichtel were undisputed experts and Franz Beckenbauer played so fundamentally at Bayern Munich libero and acted only under pressure in midfield for the national team. There was very strong for the current pilot Topper Ludwig Müller simply no place in the World Cup squad. Even during his playing time Ludwig Mueller had with his wife Margot two thriving ladies' clothing stores operated in his home town Haßfurt. At first FC Haßfurt he did not finish his career a few years.
