INFO:Stift was Former Eintracht Frankfurt player, in the beginning left winger but most part of career spent on left back position. Hermann had powerful shot, good speed and was most known for his strength and butchering. He was solid at heading, possessed decent technique and made sometimes good dribbling runs forward, but didn't always look good in defensive duties, sometimes was too late in closing the opponents. Hofer joined Eintracht Frankfurt age of fifteen, and remained loyal to the club until his retirement. In 1953, the defender made his debut in the first team, in which he would complete by 1966 a total of over 300 games. In concord-shirt, he celebrated include the German Championship 1959th Hermann Höfer played 224 league games for the harmony in which he scored 17 goals. From 1963 to 1966 he was playing with Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga and completed it 68 games in which he met in the 1964/65 and 1965/66 seasons, once each. Overall, he came to 292 league games and 19 league goals for Eintracht. In the years 1954 to 1957 graduated Höfer six caps in the German national soccer team of amateurs. With this he took effect on 24 November 1956 in Melbourne at the Olympic Games in 1956 against the eventual Olympic champion Soviet Union, the team retired after the 1:2 final result, but already after the first game of the tournament. In the 1981-82 season, he was vice president of Concord. Hermann Höfer died in 1996.
