Barucco was a defender who played as right-back. He spent most of his career at Modena, playing 246 matches from 1961 to 1969, never scoring. He played also for Brescia, Piacenza, Ravenna and Carpi. He retired in 1974.
Barucco was one of the most important Modena defenders in the 1960s. He was a tough tackler gifted with great temperament but also good class and ability to set up well the defence. He was generous and he sacrificed himself for the team, even though he wasn't able to resist to an attack without help from the other defenders. He had good speed and didn't hesitate to participate to the attack, even though he wasn't a good dribbler nor could set up the action from the side.
