INFO:Arab is a former left back or centre back. He spent most of his career at Oghab from 1958 to 1973. He previously played for Daraei and Shahpar. He capped for Iran 46 times, scored twice and won the AFC Asian Cup in 1968 and 1972, the latter as captain.
Arab was a consistent and very dominant player. In the late 60s he was one of the most stable defenders alongside Hassan Habibi, Jafar Kashani and Mehrab Shahrokhi. During the 1968 Asian Cup, Arab managed to make Burma's attacks completely ineffective, although Burma performed brilliantly against Israel. Moreover, he assisted Hossein Kalani for Iran's first goal with an excellent pinpoint pass that put his teammate in a perfect scoring position. Apparently capable from set piece, he scored at least once from free kick. The occasion, where his goal was described as spectacular, is an Olympics qualifying match against Iraq on December 22, 1963.
