INFO:

Zygfryd Blaut was former Polish player and the younger brother of more famous Bernard. Zygfryd played either as defender or midfielder, a player with incredible intuition. As a defender, he was able to position himself in such a way that most of the balls directed into the penalty area ended up in his legs. When one of the defenders from the starting lineup was unable to play, Zyga came on and no one could say that Legia was weakened. Not a giant but pretty tough and determinate in ball recuperations with great instinct and good positioning in defence, collected many loose balls. He could make good pass and help in organization of attacks. Siegfried, son of Richard Ewald Blaut and Clare, was born March 2, 1943 in Gogolin, the Polish player, two-time champion in the colors of Polish Legia Warsaw, a Polish representative. Coach's wore nickname "Raspberry" and "Drops". Master of Sports. He has performed on the field a defender (stopper). He defended the colors sequentially Construction in Gogolin (1957-1959), the Odra Opole (1959-1963), Silesia, Wroclaw (1963-1964), re-Oder (1964), re-Silesia (1965-1968), Legia Warsaw (1968-1974) and Polonia Warsaw (1974). As a player of the Oder, Silesia and the Legia played in the league to reach the greatest success of the Legia-1969 and 1970 the Polish championship, 1973 Polish Cup. The only performance in the Polish national team have had 22 years in 1970 in Szczecin, in the match against Iraq. Career limited him to a serious Achilles tendon injury, recognized the Legion of sport expedition to Spain and South America (1971/1972). After retiring from football he was the coach. MKS Odra Opole and Gogolin, endlessly engaging in training athletes, especially youth, died April 20, 2005 in Opole.
