IMO the best ever Italian keeper alongside Walter Zenga. Very strong player with outstanding reflexes, very good positioning with a lot of acrobatic saves, catlike agility, strong and precise drop kicks, brave and with solid speed but his character and intolerance to strict discipline reduced his posibilities. Albertosi grew up among amateurs of Spezia, where he remained until 1958 after his debut in the first team at home, Alberto Picco stadium, against a society that was great: the Novese. In 1958 it was bought by Fiorentina. He started his career in Serie A in season 1958-1959, January 18 in the AS Roma-Fiorentina 0-0, although the top five leagues in purple were spent as a store of Giuliano Sarti, playing only 30 games in total. With the transfer of Tailors Inter became the holder and remained so for five more seasons, until 1968, when he left the purple team and moved to Cagliari. Fiorentina won two Cups with the Italy (1960-1961 and 1965-1966) and the first edition of the Cup Winners' Cup (1960-1961, when Fiorentina had participated as a finalist in the Italy Cup 1959-1960, because of the waiver Juventus). The transfer took place in Cagliari on the eve of the season that would see Fiorentina win the scudetto (1968-1969), Albert, however, became champion of Italy with Sardinian team in 1970, on the occasion by establishing the record of fewest goals conceded in a league of 16 teams (11 goals). He was then to Cagliari four more seasons, before being transferred to AC Milan. In the six seasons he spent in Milan, Italy won his third Cup (1976-1977) and, above all, his second championship (1978-1979) who was tenth for Milan, that of the star. Became involved in the famous scandal of the so-called "football betting" in 1980, following which many players received suspensions, even heavy after 532 games in Serie A was suspended for two years from April 30, 1980 (AC Milan and was sentenced to Relegation to Serie B). Raced his last match in Serie A February 10, 1980 at San Siro against Perugia at the age of 40 years, 3 months and 8 days. After serving his suspension in 1982, was hired by the team semi-professionally dell'Elpidiense Marche, who played two seasons with the C2 series before the final withdrawal in 1984 to nearly 45 years. Albertosi debuted in the national team when he still was not fixed in the holder Fiorentina his baptism took place in the blue home stadium, in Florence, Italy on June 15, 1961-Argentina 4-1. At the time of onset in the national team, however, had already played in two games in the Youth, in which he had premiered November 2, 1960. fter the debut, the blue jersey again would suit four years later, during the last matches in the round of World Cup qualifying 1966 and, subsequently, would have held in National who went to England for the final phase of the World . This participation is then found to be part of the team beaten by North Korea in the famous game (Italy-North Korea 0-1) which cost the elimination Italy. Survived in the general renewal of the team was summoned, but had to yield - due to injury - the owner of Dino Zoff's jersey during the final of the 1968 European championship which was held in Italy and the Azzurri won, but the owner was again during the 1970 World Cup in Mexico, reaching the finals against Brazil, losing 4-1, after defending the stakes in the famous semi-final against West Germany won 4-3. For a couple of more years continued to alternate between the poles with Zoff and this situation lasted for the whole series of qualifying matches for the championship of Europe in 1972, until finally the goalkeeper chose Valcareggi Friuli as proprietor. The last meeting of Alberta, National was played almost exactly eleven years after the debut June 21, 1972, Bulgaria-Italy 1-1. Collaborated in the early 2000 with the Covered Margin as a supervisor for the preparation of the goalkeepers. On 27 May 2004 was hit by a severe form of ventricular tachycardia after playing a race of trotting racecourse Sesana in Florence, reserved for journalists. After several days of pharmacological coma induced by doctors woke up without serious complications and subsequently recovered completely without consequences from the physical point of view.
