Roberto Boninsegna was very strong and brave player who could score but also run on the wings, had great shot and heading abilities, good set piece taker, with solid speed and technique. Together with Luigi Riva, he made Cagliari to a top Italian club left him but to the 1969/70 season in the direction of Inter Milan. Henceforth, Riva and Boninsegna formed only in the Italian national team a feared strike partnership. Ironically, 1970 was without Boninsegna Cagliari for the first and only time Italian champion. Boninsegna but played in the same year at the Football World Cup 1970 in Mexico, a great world tournament.
