INFO:Jan Pieszko is former Polish player. An offensive allrounder known as "Polish Gerd Muller" for quick reactions and astuteness in the box. But he played often in midfield and on the wing, quick and solid crosser. Very agile player with good leap which enabled him to score with the head despite the short size. An extremely effective striker, instinctively sensing scoring chances, a strong point of Legia throughout the decade. He found his way in the penalty area perfectly. Pieszko was the type of player who waited for the ball, and when it got to his feet, it usually landed "in the net". He showed great cunning in the penalty box, which made it difficult to stop him. The Polish media dubbed him "Bombardier". The Western press went even further. Mr. Jan was effective not only on the league pitches, but also in the European cups. Due to his short stature, the way he moved and the ability to finish the action, he began to be called the Polish Gerd Müller. He arrived in Gdynia at the beginning of 1961 with Darzboru Szczecinek and - despite his young age - has been leading scorer in the second-league season (8 hits), including entered on the scoresheet in the first derby of Gdynia at the central level (1:1 with the Ark, 02/04/1961). A total of two years for the Baltic scored 13 goals in the second league, and forZawisza Bydgoszcz. He returned to Gdynia in 1984 to fulfill the role of Bronislaw Waligórze II trainer. At the beginning of 1985, has alone led Gdynia in the league, but only until June. Baltic barely remained in the elite, while simultaneously the most successful in the Polish Cup (1/2 final). Successor Pieszki was Stanisław Stachura. Pieszko name for himself in the era of the great Legia Warsaw (175 matches and 44 goals in the league, 14 goals in European competition!), Which celebrates the Polish championships (1969 and 1970), won PP (1973) and played in the semi-finals of the European Cup (1970). The colors of the club played in the years 1966-1976, where he played a total of 238 matches and scored 68 goals. Two-time Polish Champion (69, 70) and the single winner of the Polish Cup (73). John Pieszko the Łazienkowska hit a pretty interesting circumstances. It was borrowed from Zawisza Bydgoszcz on matches on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of our club and ... liked it enough that I will not come back. At the turn of the 80s and 90 The twentieth century, he worked as a coach in the Football Association junior national team, scored the episode as an assistant coach of the national senior team.
