Favalli was a striker or midfielder who played on the right wing. He had his most relevant time at Juventus from 1966 to 1970, even though he played only 87 matches and scoring 5 goals. He spent most of his career at Palermo from 1971 to 1978, playing 228 games and scoring 6 times. He played also for Cremonese, Foggia and Mantova.
Favalli was a tireless player who ran down the right flank for the whole match. His technique wasn't world class but he was gifted with great dribbling to pass through the defences. He was very offensive but he didn't score much and his few goals were usually from favorable positions. He rather delivered accurate crosses to the box, providing many assists. Effective when he made the correct fast play, he also made several mistakes.
