INFO:
Bercellino was an inside and centre forward. He grew up at Juventus where he appeared 2 times and scored once in the 1963-64 season, his first in Serie A. He then played a year in Serie B for Potenza, scoring 18 goals in 34 matches. Juventus decided to bring him back and, despite a good scoring rate of 6 goals in 10 games, he didn't find much space and was sold to Palermo. He had his best time with the Rosanero, scoring 39 times in 133 matches. He played also for Mantova, Monza, Livorno and Biellese, where he retired in 1978.
Bercellino was a mainly left-footed striker gifted with a good physique, excellent technique as well as touch of the ball and was very capable in front of the goal thanks mostly to his ability to hit the ball with a sudden first time shot. He had sense of position and was a danger inside the box despite not being a pure centre forward. Unfortunately, he was renowned for being very slow, lacking of will and determination, preferring to play well for twenty minutes and then walking for the rest of the match, wasting a lot of time with the opposing defenders.
