Defence MindedINFO:Buzzacchera was a left-back. He had his best time at Torino, where he played 151 matches from 1960 to 1965. Forming a very good couple of full-backs first with Piero Scesa and then with Fabrizio Poletti, he was regarded as third best Italian left-back in 1963. In fact, he never managed to cap for Italy due to Giacinto Facchetti and Sergio Castelletti. Buzzacchera spent most of his career at Catania, playing 230 games from 1965 to 1972, when he retired. He played also for Marzotto Valdagno and Padova.
Buzzacchera was an excellent and consistent defensive player. He was gifted with a good physique, was efficient as marker and tackler but also had style, technique and tactical intelligence. He was very careful and capable to fix the mistakes made by his teammates.
