INFO:

Krasnodar Rora was born on 23 of March, 1945 in Vis (Croatia). Krasnodar Rora is Dinamo Zagreb legend mostly remembered as player who sealed up victory vs. Leeds in 1967.

He grown-up in Šibenik, where he also starts his professional career. Then in those days NK Šibenik played in second Yugoslavian league. Than after NK Šibenik where Rora played for two seasons, he transferred to Dinamo Zagreb in sixties, to be accurate in 1964. Manager Kapetanovic brought Rora to Maksimir. Born in Sibenik, which mostly supports Hajduk, but Dinamo was Rora’s main goal.

Krasnodar Rora was playing as left midfielder position, he was very fast and also he was excellent dribbler. In Dinamo he spent 9 years, that’s more than half of his career, and won legendary (for Dinamo) Fairs/Uefa Cup in 1967 where he scored second goal for Dinamo in final game against Leeds United for 2-0. He also participates in Fairs/Uefa Cup final in 1963 against Valencia where Dinamo lost. In Dinamo shirt Krasnodar Rora also won two Yugoslavian Cups in 1965 and 1969. He was also 3 times runners up in Yugoslavian Cup(1964,1966) and twice league runners up(1966, 1969) with Dinamo.

Rora, who played in Dinamo from 1964 till 1973, recorded 459 appearances and 37 league goals for Dinamo.

Rora had great crossing ability. So many times he tricked his marker and assist for a goal. One more step and “poof”! No, Rora move to flanks, mostly left flank, and searches this teammates with cross. Elegant technique, light weighted for his times, grand master.

Rora belongs to lost generation of Ivica Horvat. In spring 1969 Dinamo had five points margin, but at the end they lost championship, however, they won National Cup in 1969.

Left midfielder, but with strong maneuver. With ideas. Rora was Branko Zebec’s favorite. ’Kraso’ loved Spanish football and played best football

From 1973 till 1975 Krasnodar Rora played in Belgium (Standard de Liege), where he played 48 times for Standard Liege and scoring twice. Then, after adventure in Belgium, Rora went to France, to be specific in AS Nancy-Lorraine, where he chased young Platini. In AS Nancy he played for two seasons (1975 – 1977) where he played 21 games scoring just once. Last stop in his career was in FC Haguenau, which was playing in French second league at that time. Krasnodar Rora spent 1 season there where he recorded 31 appearances with 2 goals.

Rora also played for Yugoslavia national team. He played 4 games for youth team (1962-1963), three for under-21 (1964-1967) and 5 for senior Yugoslavian National team. Rora’s debut in Yugoslavia senior team happened on 1st November, 1967 against Netherlands (2:1) in Rotterdam, and last game on 27th October, 1968 against Spain (0:0) in Belgrade. Rora didn’t play much for Yugoslavia senior team because Crvena Zvezda legend Dragan Dzajic playd on same position as Rora.

After football career Krasnodar Rora devoted to coach career. He was coaching Dinamo Zagreb youth selections, Sibenik, Radnik, Izola and also he coached one team in Belgium or France.
