INFOS:

Vladica Popović was one of the best Red Star players during the 50's and 60's and he's the legend of the club. He played mostly as defensive midfielder and he was known as a combative player who excelled in defending, but also was always ready to start attacking actions and was able to deliver accurate pinpoint passes to his forwards. He was very good at man marking and his aggressive defending was a problem for attackers. He was a team player and rarely went into complicated situations. His form was consistent throughout his whole career.
