With complete set of skills, he was a very hard player to defend. He could strike the ball with power and preciseness, he possessed organisational skills, he was very mobile and incredibly fast for that era. Also, he was great header of the ball. His opponents always mentioned that his acceleration and his ability to change direction in full speed was the biggest problem when it comes to guarding him. He wasn't too strong but could withstand physical duels. He was able to score incredibly important goals. He relied on his skill but also on team play. He was two footed player. Too bad that he wasn't in the best shape in 1966 final because of missing almost that whole season because he had to be in army.
