Ion Oblemenco was a Romanian footballer. He was a great goalscorer and most loved player of Craiova. He wasn't a forward typical, did not have great speed or dribbling, but devastating and very hard shoot by his left foot, great leadership, sensational head kick, good heading and intelligent passing. Despite he was a prolific goalscorer, he only played 12 times for Romania national football team and scored 5 goals. He died on 1 September 1996 and stadium of Universitatea Craiova is named in his honour.
