INFOJosé Altafini was great scorer, very strong and fast player, devastating in counter attacks with his explosive starting speed, excellent shooter, technically very good with excellent dribbling, good heading abilities and intelligent positioning in the box. He grew up in the Palmeiras won the Paulista championship; exploded late teens in the Brazilian national team that won the world championships in Sweden in 1958, scoring two goals in three games. Purchased from Milan, Italy confirmed in his skills as a marksman. In seven seasons with Milan, he won two league titles (1958/59 and 1961/62) and a European Cup (1962/63), making, in that edition of the tournament, fewer than 14 networks, records of the competition. In the match against Union Luxembourg, won by 8-0, scored five goals well, and still unbeaten record he shares with eight other athletes. After leaving Milan, where he was born his reputation as a footballer not prone to physical confrontations with opponents defenders, even for the controversy with Amarildo dualisms and Paolo Ferrario, he played for seven years in Naples. At the end of 1972 arrived with Dino Zoff at Juventus, where despite his age is no longer green won two league titles starring in seasons 1972/73 and 1974/75, often resulting whilst resolving off the bench. In particular, he remembers his goal in Juventus-Napoli of the season 1974/75, with the first ranking that saw Juventus and Napoli to second two points, going a few minutes to go scored the goal in the final two to one, which allowed to remove the Napoli and Juventus to win the championship. He closed his career wearing the jersey of FC Chiasso and Mendrisiostar (now FC Mendrisio-Stabio) in the Swiss championship. Overall, the Italian has scored 216 career goals in 459 league games, third overall for accomplishments (after Piola and Nordahl, Giuseppe Meazza and tied with) and first among the living, and for the first attendance among players not born in Italy. He won the top scorer in the 1961/1962 season, tied with Aurelio Milani.
