INFO

After Ilija Petković, the best right winger in Yugoslavia in late 60's - early 70's. Excellent winger and efficient scorer, technically gifted, good pace and great crosses from the right flank, but he had also good sense for goal and always well positioned in the box. Čera was a great dribbler, a great technician, he was adorned with explosive attacks on the right side, he was agile, penetrating. The coaches liked that he mostly played "on the first ball", he mostly used a full kick. He went through the complete Maksimir football school, and even in those junior days he played with equal success in all places in the attack, and according to his characteristics, he could also help in the midfield. He did not belong to the group of strong, robust attackers, but that did not stop him from uncompromisingly entering direct duels. He had the qualities of a modern winger, which means that he was adorned with exceptional speed in moving with the ball and playing. In their expert analysis, they pointed out to the coach that, like few players, he shows a strong sense of maneuvering, which further increases his attacking abilities. He played for Dinamo Zagreb (1967-75), with whom he won the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup (1967) and Yugoslav Cup (1969), and NK Zagreb (1975-82). Piercing and efficient striker, usually on the right wing position, for Dinamo played 403 matches and scored 84 goals. Played for the national team of Yugoslavia in 1969 against the USSR (1: 3) in Belgrade. He was coach in the youth school Hitrec-Kacian (1987-89).
