Klaus Sammer is a German former footballer and coach. Alternately used in midfield and defencel, tall and strong with excellent aerial play and great sense of positioning. He scored good amount of goals with his head thanks to his size. Equipped with powerful shot from distance, threatening also from free kicks. He has the golden 70s Dynamo Dresden as a player with embossed and was instrumental in that the sports community in 1971 brought the first league and cup double in the club's history. As a coach, he won with the black and yellow twice the fdgb Cup. Klaus Sammer began his footballing career in 1954 at TSG steel Groeditz before he hired for the season 1962/63 the East German league club SC Einheit Dresden. After three seasons in the second division moved to the end of the season 1964/65 for SG Dynamo Dresden. In the following years he collected under coach Manfred Fuchs further experience in the highest DDR league and international competition, where he played both games against Glasgow Rangers at the first European performances of Dresdner. After Dynamo 1968 was relegated for the time being the last time in the second division, Sammer was the direct re-emergence in 26 games on the pitch and scored two goals. Two years later, in 1971, Sammer and Co. heralded the most successful dynamo decade. In Cup final of that year Sammer marked both goals against BFC Dynamo (2-1) and contributed significantly to the first double of the club history with. Two years later Sammer celebrated his second championship. In the UEFA Cup , Dresdner could convince in the second championship season, when they were eliminated in the quarter -final against Liverpool. His debut in the GDR national team celebrated on 11 November 1970, when he defeated the Netherlands in Dresden 1-0. He also was part of the squad that managed to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 1974 in Germany. But the year 1973 held for Sammer some bitter moments ready: When important victory in the qualifier against Romania (2-0 in Leipzig) he was still there. Shortly thereafter, however coach Georg Buschner stressed him out of the squad. It was his last international game. A year later, Klaus Sammer ran in the UEFA Cup first round match - in Randers, Denmark, for the last time on the international stage on (1:1). On 14 February 1976 he was 33 years old officially adopted prior to the game against the SGD Sachsenring Zwickau. After his playing career in which he completed 272 appearances for Dynamo, scoring 39 goals, he embarked on a coaching career. After two league titles with the A- youth of the SGD he was in 1983 appointed first-team coach. 1984 and 1985 come under his leadership respective victories in fdgb Cup final against BFC Dynamo Berlin. Due to the historical 3:7 defeat in the quarter -final of the European Cup of Cup Winners' Cup against Bayer 05 Uerdingen Sammer was forced to resign at the end of the 1985/86 season. For a few games returned in 1992/93 back on the coach chair of Dresden. Then Sammer worked as a scout for the DFB and an examination board, which is responsible for issuing licenses coach and take care of yourself to amateur and youth teams.
