INFOJusto Gilberto González Expósito ( Santa Cruz de Tenerife , Canary Islands , October 4, 1942 - ibid. , May 12, 2012) was a Spanish footballer who played in the midfielder position. He played in central midfield and inside right, even as centre forward. One of the best box-to-box midfielders in Spain at the time. He was very strong player, technically gifted, endurable with good work in construction of play and destroyer at the same time. Player with good shot, running forward and scoring. He brought the balance in Las Palmas team with his contribution in both attack and defence. Gifted with remarkable physical power, Gilberto thrived in any position in midfield and was even occasionally lined up as a center forward. Gilberto 's big moment came when he was traded to the UD Las Palmas , forming one great team an authentic Canarian selection. Gilberto II was the ending to give the necessary balance to that wonderful center that managed to form the UD with Guedes and German. Justo Gilberto was shortlisted three times, but did not get to debut in the selection of Spain. Also part of the UD Las Palmas day they defeated Torino 4-0 with Sinibaldi coaching. During the first year of Tenerife in the first division in the 60s, Gilberto played an extraordinary match at Mestalla against Valencia, marking the first and only goal of Tenerife, which allowed us to go until the last minute to win the game, when they scored two goals and ended up losing 2-1. The goals were scored by valencianistas Recamán and 83 minutes and at 89 Waldo. Justo Gilberto died at the age of 69 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife on May 12, 2012 .
