Raffin is a former centre forward, capable of playing also as inside and left winger. He played most of his career for Biellese - where he scored 36 goals in 93 matches between 1956 and 1959 - and Venezia - where he scored 39 times in 93 games from 1960 to 1963. He played also for Juventus (in his early career), Lecco, Livorno, Brescia, Palermo, Pro Vercelli and Casale, where he retired in 1969.
Very tall and powerful considering the era, Raffin was a prolific scorer, gifted with very good sense of goal, always in front of the goalkeeper when he played as most advanced striker. Unsurprisingly, his heading ability was one of his best qualities. He was very slow and not technically gifted but he showed decent ball distribution when he didn't act as centre forward. He also was a fine free kick taker.
