Stucchi was a left-back and he's one of Messina's greatest legends and longest serving captain. After six seasons in Lecco between 1952 and 1958, he tranferred to Messina, where he played for nine seasons: 245 matches and one goal scored in his last season, the 1966-67 − the best reward for his career.
Stucchi was a small player, gifted with great stamina and good technical abilities. Sometimes unsure in pure defensive abilities, he had in his great speed the strongest point. He was a determined but fair defender who never received a red card in 44 Serie A appearances.
