Corti was a defensive midfielder or defender. His career began at Sampdoria in 1948. Then he played for Piombino in 1952-53 and Monza from 1953 to 1957. He eventually joined Catania where he had his best seasons. He played 205 matches for the Sicilian team in six seasons, four of which as captain. He retired in 1968 after spells at Paternò and Australian team Adelaide City.
Corti was acclaimed especially for his constant performances. He was a good player, gifted with nice speed. His clearances were powerful and he was able to deliver efficient balls forward. He always put much effort, typical of a leader, but sometimes he committed too many fouls.
