Attack MindedINFO:Swinbourne was a centre forward. He spent his whole career at Wolverhampton Wanderers: 230 matches and 114 goals from 1945 to 1957. He capped once for England B, scoring a goal. Physical problems may have taken the opportunity to play for England first team and his career had a sudden downfall in 1955 when he suffered a bad injury that led him to retire two years later.
Considered one of Wolverhampton's greatest ever scorers, Swinbourne was a tall and strong striker, he could gain possession of the ball on the ground and, in the air, he could beat most defenders. He was a natural goal scorer who also had notable skill. He was reactive, had keen and was gifted with a very fine shot. In his only international match, he showed to be a dashing centre forward who knows where the goal lies.
