BalancedINFO:Angell was a left-half or full-back who spent most of his career at Queens Park Rangers with 457 matches and 40 goals from 1953 to 1965. He was very versatile and as he stated, he could play also as winger, inside forward and even centre forward, equally efficiently and always loved by his QPR supporters. He played also for Slough Town, Charlton Athletic and Millwall.
One of the most loyal and consistent players in Queens Park Rangers history, Angell was thoughtful and dependant, had the leader willingness and responsibility that made him captain for many seasons, was a complete player with great versatility who could cover − as already said − eight different positions with the same efficiency. Despite being mostly a defensive player, he scored a good amount of goals, most of which from penalty.
