Bacuzzi was a right-back, capable of playing also on the left, which he mostly did with the England national team. Born in England from Italian parents, he spent his entire career at Fulham, playing 289 matches from 1935 to 1956 and scoring 2 goals. He also made guest appearances for several clubs like Manchester City, Derby County, Chelsea and Arsenal. He capped for England in 13 occasions during wartime. He retired in 1956 when he was 40 years old and only because of a serious knee injury. Considered a formidable full-back, Bacuzzi distinguished himself for his positional sense and heading skill, which were his main qualities. However, he had also solid ball control and knew how to kick the ball.
