Joško Vidošević was adorned with a strong left foot kick. He was a midfielder, but with a very strong sense of goals. He played very well, took useful actions, good in build up play, overcame the opposing defenders with astonishing elegance. He was extremely calm and composed in the game, cold-blooded in his actions. Vidošević gave his best games in the 1954/55 season, receiving a "yellow shirt" as the best football player in Yugoslavia in that championship season. He started his career in the junior categories of Hajduk Split in 1949, and already in 1952 he played in the first team, where he was a member for 11 years, played a total of 349 games and scored 228 goals. He participated in winning the national championship in 1952 and 1955.
