INFO

Johann Riegler was inside right and wing half thanks to his tireless running. Riegler was player with enormous running capacities, but also had lethal last pass usually the aerial one which would fly over the heads of defenders and fall in the right space for his centre forwards which made him an ideal striking partner of Robert Dienst and Erich Probst at Rapid, and later Horst Nemec in Austria Wien. Johann was great technician but also great scorer despite being mainly used in playmaking duties. He saw the space and holes in opponents defences like noone other was able and he was solid in aerial battles as well, although he was very slim and didn't have much chances in physicall contacts. Like his brother Bobby, he began in the offspring of the Vienna FC. Riegler family then lived near the former FC Vienna in the 10th place in the Gußriegelstraße District of Vienna. By the second World War II and the plight of players he was already in 1944 with FC Vienna in the first team. His brother Bobby was 1936, the victorious Mitropacupmannschaft Austria belongs as a right winger. Hans Riegler was a Green who came in 1959 as the Thirty Years to the Purple. After disagreements in Hütteldorf he went to arch-rivals. A Green, not the youngest, in fact a chain smoker. The Violets needed him. Nemec needed him. Five times was the right connectors with Rapid champion, won the 1951 Zentropacup. The miracle run with a deadly pass itself was also very dangerous, scored 132 goals in 232 competitive matches. After ten years at Rapid Riegler joined as the first player ever from the SCR to Austria, where he won two and a half seasons in a league titles and one cup victories. 1961 ventured the six-time team player (1 goal), an overseas transfer to RC Lens for a season and returned to Austria, where he ended his career in Austria in Klagenfurt. In the summer of 1961 went to Hans Riegler French professional club Lens. Then he played in Klagenfurt, Austria where he ended his active career. Then he returned to Vienna and worked briefly as a coach at Helfort. Full-time office assistant, he was at the builders holiday spot where he went into retirement.
