When playing as inside forward, he was very active in playmaking, often dropping back in midfield. On 14 February 1926-born players cult occupied mostly with his older brother Robert and a half years outside the offensive positions in rapid and the national team. II grains, such as Alfred was called, played for two decades and 283 games long championship at Rapid (7 times champion, 1 time cup winner, 1 time Zentropacup winner, 3 times a youth-champion), scoring an incredible 157 goals. After his career in Hütteldorf kicked Alfred Körner solid performance - three and a half years at the Admiralty, and as long thereafter in Vienna. Austria's national team for 47 countries attended grains games (14 goals), was third in the 1954 World Cup and Switzerland also took part in the World Cup 1958 in Sweden. In the war years they managed together in the senior squad, after 1945 they belonged to the legendary team of rapid post-war era, which caused a stir nationally and internationally. One of the highlights: the 6-1 against Arsenal in May 1953 in Brussels. Together they played in the national team and participated in two World Championships. Hütteldorfer gunners won eight times from 1945 to 1960 the championship. II to 1959 grains was always there, with the exception of the interlude Happel at Racing Paris.
