INFO:Beppe Chiappella played in front of brillant defense Cervato-Rosetta-Magnini, although he was actually a defender. Considering bravery, fighting, team commitment and dedication to team success, no other player in Italy could match him. He was tireless player with excellent sliding tackles and strong man marking, strength, great tactical awareness although he didn't have some spectacular technique and shooting. The first team was the major in which he served Pisa in Serie B in 1946-47, where he remained for three seasons. Fiorentina noticed it and bought it in 1949-50. Chiappella disputed 305 appearances and scored two goals against Fiorentina. The first meeting was in Serie A negative l 'September 11, 1949: Juventus-Fiorentina 5-2. The first goal in A with a purple rose to Udinese-Fiorentina 0-3 on March 10, 1952. The national debut occurred and did not take long for a game of Rimet Cup qualifier in Cairo, November 13, 1953, Egypt-Italy 1-2, closes Dec. 22 with the blue 1957 (Italy-Portugal 3-0) after having scraped together 17 appearances without ever going on goal. Did not attend the next World Cup qualifying play for the defeat in Belfast against Northern Ireland. Match lost badly that cost by eliminating the historic World 1958. After playing at high levels in Fiorentina and Italy in, let Chiappella played football in 1959 and started his coaching, graduating from its school of Coverciano. In 1967 it was still 5 th place. During the next year after dismal draw against Sampdoria again in Genoa (1-1), the leadership asked Chiappella to pack. Many fans seemed a pointless gesture, as with the glory purple, almost twenty years stationed in Florence, had never broken. But now the pace had been done: Chiappella was replaced by the duo Andrea Low (coach) and Luigi Ferrero (technical director). Then again, Cagliari (1973 to 1975 with its exemption) and International (from 1975 to 1977 with the defeat in the Cup final against Milan Italy '77). In the 1977-78 season, took over from Mario Mazzoni to ferry a bad Fiorentina to a stunted salvation. In 1978-79, replaced instead Mascali Louis coach of Hellas Verona, but could not save her. That was the last year in Serie A as a coach. Chiappella and 'one of the largest in the history of Florence. A wealth of anecdotes, trivia, short stories, episodes all dyed purple tie him for many years the bank of the Arno. Beppe died in 2009, aged 85.
Quote:
