Palmer is former Swedish player. Very talented and gifted player, pretty weak and small physically but had very good technique and speed. In Sweden he played more offensive and showed good scoring capacities, meanwhile in Italy his duty was exclusively playmaking and there wasn't aany attack in which he didn't take part, something similar to Cruyff in Holland but of course not so skillfull. "Calle" Palmer was born in Malmo, Sweden, April 17, 1929. The great Scandinavian player took its first steps in the greatest football association in his city, and also one of the strongest of all Sweden, Malmö FF, where he graduated with the three times national champion (1948, 1949 and 1950) and wins the yellow and blue national team, where the dispute with a total of 14 games 9 goals to his credit. He took part in the World Cup in Brazil in 1950 where it ranks the third behind Uruguay and Schiaffino and Ghiggia of the hosts in Brazil. The wood comes to stay for seven seasons in 1951/52 (up to 1957/58) in Serie A, B and C with an impressive tally of 192 appearances and 23 goals to his credit. In 1958/59 the team goes purple with Juventus in Serie A where he makes only fleeting appearances of (3 appearances). He returned to Sweden and hung up his shoes classic nail remains in the football world by becoming a competent and popular sportscaster.
