Helge Bronée was an offensive allrounder and genius, but also very problematic guy. Bronee was one of the most talented players ever to play in Italy, famous for his skills, footwork, fantasy and vision, but also notorious for his contoversal behaviour, lack of discipline and agoistic attitude. Had fantastic ball control and dribbling, sweet touch, strong shot and genial intuition, used to come very deep to help in defence, sometimes on side back position. But he lacked consistency and didn't always had will for playing, sometimes he'd just walk on the pitch uninterested for game. Bronée started his senior career with Copenhagen clubs Boldklubben 1893 (B 93) and Handelsstandens Boldklub (HB). He moved to Østerbro Boldklub (ØB), where he formed a fearsome attacking partnership with Karl Aage Præst. With 26 goals in the 1945-46 Danish 2nd Division season, Bronée helped ØB win promotion for the top-flight Danish 1st Division. Bronée got his debut for the Danish national team in September 1945, where he scored the first goal in a 5-1 victory against Norway. He was the topscorer of the 1946-47 Danish championship with 21 goals in 18 games, as ØB finished in fourth place in their 1st Division debut season. Explodes in the French team of Nancy. In 1950 he was hired for 40 million lire from Palermo Prince Raimondo Lanza di Trabia, discovered during a pleasure trip during the match in Nancy Nancy-Grenoble. He soon comes into conflict with the coach of the Rosanero Gipo Viani. Off the court he had an unruly character, which soon causes him to dislike in society.
