INFOStefan Bozhkov was the first Bulgarian world class player. Bozhkov started as a left winger, later played in almost all positions on the pitch but starred as the gifted playmaker operating in midfield. He had excellent technique and playmaking skills, he was brain of his teams, had great sense of positioning and tactical awareness, always in a search for open space and knew very well where the ball will be and when it will come, very endurable player, always in movement, had good shot, dribbling and was good performer of set pieces. He began his football career in 1938 in Sports (Sofia), then from early 1947 until the summer of 1948 played in the Czechoslovak SK Kladno, and from 1948 to 1960 is a footballer and captain of CSKA (202 matches and 49 goals) . Plays as midfielder and a striker. Ten times he was champion of Bulgaria with the team of CSKA (1948, 1951, 1952, 1954, 1955, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959 and 1960) and three times winner of the Cup of Bulgaria (1951, 1954 and 1955 .). For the national team has 53 games and 4 goals in 41 matches was his captain. Debuted on November 8, 1946 against Romania (2:2). Last meeting of December 21, 1958 against West Germany (0:3).
