Turl Wagner was technically gifted striker who was great scorer but also due to his high technique played as inside forward as well, mainly on the right side. He had graceful footwork, tactically smart, excellent ball control and solid passing on short space. Besides Wagner was good shooter who could score also from long distance and tight angles, physically pretty strong player with intelligent movements. The footballer Meidlinger Turl Wagner began his career at the small clubs Phoenix District XII and MFC 12, 1940 before he joined Wacker Vienna. In the black-white, he should have learned his technical skills, especially by club colleague Willy Hahnemann, the biggest success with the club with the Double 1947th Another title win was not, however, granted him four times he failed just as the runner-up with the club at the second championship. In the national team was brought Turl Wagner Edi Bauer, a total he played 45 international matches for Austria, where he scored 22 goals.
