Guillaume Bieganski is former French defender. He was centre half or sometimes right back, typical "terrier" who'll chase the rivals till the last breath, very tough and hard, uncompromising and reliable, good in marking, generous and great fighter but surely not too graceful technically. The defender, whose first name was also isolated by Guilhem (William?) Is given and who was born in the same location as the Polish-born Leon Glovacki, 1951 by a small team from the vicinity of Douai to Lille OSC. It corresponded to the prototype of the northern French defender of those years. As of 1952 in the Division 1, he won in his first professional season, the national cup, where he was also in the Endspielelf (2-1 winners against FC Nancy). In the following season 1953/54 he was master of Lille, was appointed to the national team and a year later for the second time Cup winner (this time in the finals 5-2 over Girondins Bordeaux). Especially in the first postwar decade was the LOSC "peppered" one of the most successful clubs in France and his team squad with the national team: Guillaume Bieganski played there, among other things on the side of Jean Baratte (up to 1953 and again in 1956/57), goalkeeper Cesar Ruminski (up 1954), Marceau Somerlinck and Jean Vincent (both in 1956), André Strappe (until 1958) and Yvon Douis (1953-1959). Even more surprising was 1956, the decline in the second division, the club moved Bieganski not, but actively contributed to the immediate revival. Again as Lille in 1959 but beat a path to the second division had, gave him from the club at the neighboring club RC Lens. Notable successes were achieved with Lens in the next four years but not more, after all, brought Bieganski, there are other countries on five games. In 1963 he left the sang et Or - blood red and gold are still the team colors of RC Lens - and signed up for the second division Forbach U.S.. The Lorraine ended 1963/64 and 1964/65 only on the second from bottom, after which the 33-year-old players are not his playing career ended. Then Guillaume Bieganski are trained to the U.S. Amateur in 1968 Marignane, which he led at this time to Provence Cup victory. Between December 1953 and September 1961 denied Guillaume Bieganski 9 A-caps (no goals) with the Equipe Tricolore. He also belonged to the French squad at the World Cup in 1954, but was not used in Switzerland. His career in the blue dress National learned in May 1955, a multi-year break before coach Batteux it off again in October 1960 took into account. In both periods the defensive warrior had been more of a backup solution: in its first four games, he replaced the-budgetary right defender Lazare Gianessi, and from 1960 Batteux experimented on the center half position with several players, including five times with Bieganski, after Robert Jonquet, of this place held since 1948, had resigned as a result of the disappointing history of France at the European Championship finals.
